My family and I are enjoying our chickens so much, I am in the process of redesigning the backyard just for my flock, I also want to be able to sell eggs too. Our current project is under way, converting the shed into a nice hen house and rebuilding the run.
I am a stay at home mom, wife to a wonderful husband, mother to 2 boys, 2 tree frogs, 2 hermit crabs, 1 turtle and 11 chickens.
All my girls are well loved and cared for, each have been given a name that fits their personality, keeping chickens have been theraputic to my husband who is wheelchair bound and my youngest son who has some problems.
The Golden Girls: Golden Comets are Queen; she is the boss of the barnyard and Honey B; she is the momma hen to the pullets
Banty/Game mix: Lil Louise, she started laying recently and has to let the world now she has got to lay an egg and when she is done sitting she announces she has laid an egg
Pullets: Easter Eggers: Hawkeye and Buckeye and our barnyard mix Lady Long Legs
Chicks: 2 sussex, 2 australorps and 2 buff orpingtons
