Hey guys! I'm a neophyte to incubating. Only ever used a broody hen to set eggs. I've been thoroughly confused by all the mixed info on which incubator to buy. I'm not clever enuf to make my own. Too busy with goats, chicks, horses gkids etc. If I wanted to buy an incubator that I just had to plug in and tend, which one should I be looking at. I'll let you assume that money isn't an object (lol---one could dream). Which would be best for a beginner incubator?

B. Saffles Farms :

Sportsmans are great too. I only touch mine when I bump the humidity up for hatching. Other than that just put the eggs in and wait.

Sure, Sportsmans and Dickeys are great too, but not everybody has room for one or needs a capacity of 100+ eggs.

so have yall reveiwed the brinsea 190 advance im puzzled i have read great things about these incubators but in reading on there site it says sides made of strofoam or one of the foams please tell im wrong and that a 700 hundred dollar machine is not made of the same stuff the 40 dollar models are because like calgal looking to buy and was wondering what was top of the line

True, but calgal didnt say what size of one she wanted. I was just giving my opinion. She did say money wasnt an object.

As far a a decently priced bator goes, hands down the Hova Bator 1588 (Genesis) is the best! I've even had the chance to test that out recently and I stand behind the 1588 all the way!

You add water, plug it in, wait for the temp. to reach 100 (I recommend starting it for 24 hours before you add the eggs for a test run), and add eggs! Now how hard is that?

I've also had excellent hatches in my 1588. I wouldn't trade it for anything!

BTW - I highly recommend the automatic egg turner too.
