I made this afternoon, it fits like a glove in my small coop. I did modified it a little from other examples on here. Two fill tubes at each end to hold more feed and to keep the holes full easier. Hung it by a couple of screws for easy removal for cleaning and used 3"to 4" coupler as a funnel for easier filling.

The pink, I found some Porch and Floor, interior/exterior miss-mixed, an "as is" sale, $5.00!

sweet - I'm still "getting around to doing it". Maybe by the end of the summer it'll get done. I spent the first half of spring and the end of winter making the brooder, the coop and the run that I'm a bit tired of all the building for the girls. I've decided the next project I do is going to be for me. Of course my DW would probably argue that the girls are mine(I wanted them and I sold her on the idea) so, in effect, I have been building for me all year!

Two appropiate size Fosner bits and a jigsaw to complete the slot.

Haven't test driven it yet, coop still needs some work and the chicks are only 3-4 weeks old. I did leave the tube with the holes unglued just for fine tuning if that problem occurs, in theory anyway???
