Hi Nancy!!! want to have a feeder raising day?

I could be wrong, but I am sure with the holes tilted to the side like they are MY girls would be able to waste food very well.

If I can get someone to make me one like this one, I would put the holes on the top of the tube.

By the way, I really do like the design ! Congratulations on your ingenius design.

I think you probably have it rotated such that it makes the holes easy access? I'd maybe try it with the tube rotated so the holes are facing straight up. I actually make my hens work a bit to get at the food.

I have my feeder raised up kinda high and also have a lip on it so the feed is about 2 inches from the top of the "lip". I get very little spilling this way:

The tube with the holes is not glued in place, it can be rotated to face the holes as needed or to removed the tube and replace with another tube with some other configuration.

Very nice!!! Just showed pic to DH and he is already working on the details to make it work for our coop and run. Let us know how it works and did the girls spill it with the holes at that angle.
