Well,Well,Well thru all the criticism we got from people on here on behalf of our homemade incubator.....WE HATCHED QUAIL CHICKS!!

For the people who said" your humidity is too high,or you'll have heat loss,or any other useless thing,proof is in the pic.

To others who commented good,and want to make one of your own and asked nicely,then these pics are for you to celebrate with us!!

i had asked about turning our big aquarium into a bator too and got a lot of naysaying. i missed any criticism of yours but what was the major concern--heat loss? that's what i heard a lot of. i wanted to use it because i wanted to see (and have my kids be able to see) REALLY WELL. we did a whole homeschooling project around our first hatch and it would have been great to see more.

what did you do on the top? i would love to see a link to your thread about it, because you are giving me hope to still do this in the future.

congrats! they are so cute and tiny.
 
dh just asked about the foot on the one in the foreground...it isn't crooked is it? if so... i had one like that last hatch and straightened it out very easily. only to have my toddler step on its foot and break the same toe just a few days ago, at about 10 weeks.
