I haven’t been on the BYC forum for ages because Joe and I went to work in Bahrain last August. (I know, what a stuuuupid place to pick - but how could we know it was all going to kick off there???) Thankfully our contract is nearly over and we return to Spain in June.

Anyway, ‘Chickens, Mules and Two Old Fools’ has now become an Amazon Bestseller *faints* and I wanted to thank the world in general, and BYC members in particular who have always made me so welcome here. I know lots of you have read 'Chickens' and I really appreciate that!

As a Thank You, I’m giving away FREE Kindle downloads of ‘Chickens’ to any members who’d like one. To get the free coupon code, go to http://www.victoriatwead.com/Free_Stuff.html
or
send me a Private Message with your email address and I’ll send it to you.

Feel free to pass the code on to any friends or family.

Thanks again, kind BYC friends,
Victoria

PS Expires midnight May 9th 2011. The code, not me.

I'm going to have to check out your newsletter and when I get settled in our new place I'll have to get your book.

The free download is a very nice thing to do for folks.

Welcome back, Victoria!

I'm glad to hear you've come through the craziness okay, and I'm looking forward to reading your posts, again, on your return to Spain.

What a kind thing, to share your story for free!

What a nice lot of people you are! Thank you for remembering me!

And thanks for the coupon requests - I'm off to work to teach the apostrophe to my Arabic class (aaaagh- wish me luck!) but I'll reply to all your messages and emails as soon as I get home.

OK BYCers, I just finished Victoria's book. It is well worth it. It is an easy to read, fascinating look into spanish village life. I was hooked right off the bat. I chuckled, grimaced, cowered and even shed a tear.
It reminded me of Isak Dineson's "Out of Africa". I am certainly looking forward to her next book.

Imp- A large portion of the book is devoted to her chickens.

I would urge any reader out there to take Victoria up on this offer.
