What is this? (Pic)

When I collected eggs this afternoon I found one that had a couple of patches little bitty balls which look like some kind of insect egg. However, they are hard and the same color as the egg, so could it be some kind of calcium deposit? They are not part of the shell - you can see where I scraped some off with my fingernail.

I think it is Alien Spores....this is how 3 legged chickens come about...lol

Alien spores...I didn't consider that. We'd better hurry and eat it before 3-legged chickens take over the world.
 
I have no broody hens, so I'll have to do it myself...might get messy!

Maybe I can get my husband to set it at work?
 
Weird, but I don't think it's calcium deposits. I too would guess some kind of insect.
