Going to dig in the sewing room and see if I have some stash to make a cute one - I can sew it while watching tv later tonight. (Survivor's on!

Here is a small one that I saw in my favorite quilt shop in Chapel Hill, NC.

Here is the one I made (I later added yellow strings of beads for the toes).

Those are so neat looking, I'll might try one if someone does a step by step photo display of how they make them. What are you using for stuffing in them? I read on one site's directions that she used rice in them instead of batting because she felt the batting made them look something like strange roadkill.

Good Job!

OH that looks like squares!!! (?) great pic's thank you eggchel.

Does anyone Smock?

I have a Super Amanda smocker - I have struggled and struggled with the dern thing, FINALLY this evening I got a piece of fabric pleated - with one little wrinkle and NO broken needles...

Anyone?

Yes, this is it! Very nice little "plumps" everybody! Beaded wattles is a great idea...hahaha...

Sand for fill is my favorite. Fills them out well, makes them heavy like a paperweight...and I think the sand is good for keeping the pins sharp. You can get it in small packages at hobby stores.

Thank you!
Maria
