they were also our big pets -- Stupid dogs. I am glad that I hadn't let my cochins out for the day. I can GUARANTEE I will be waiting with the shotgun for whatever dog decides to come back.

I feel your frustration. It must have been a big dog or two. How many? Do you still have birds to work with? I know these were your pets, but you have eggs right? Hopefully you'll be able to have some offspring.

Bummed.

Well with the rain, it was kinda of hard to tell. We did see some big tracks leaving the driveway but they were quickly washed away. We must have just missed it.
They killed Ziva, my standard bronze hen, she was such a pet, always into whatever you were doing outside. When hubby worked on pens, she would steal his pencil- a one of a kind girl.
I can't find my boy, Gibbs, Narragansett tom, I drove 4 hrs just to get this boy and he was a true show off. DD could even pick him up - barely b/c of his weight but he was that friendly. I am hoping that he hid and will come out later

but I am afraid that he was killed also.
DeNozo - our Calico tom, is alive but badly mauled and sliced up. Not sure if he is going to make it or not. Hopefully he will

We also lost Bird - a mix breed hen (turkey) no sign of her either.
Our choc hen, Abbey and our RP hen, Kate flew up onto my pens and are fine.

They got DD pet duck, Megan - this is the duck that hubby even liked, she would let you tote her around and loved to be handfed. This was a hard blow b/c dd has been clinging to her after loosing her beloved pet lab last week.
My only blue drake, blue boy is mauled, don't know if he will make it. Black drake, Drake - was also badly mauled. We are also missing a blue hen.

I have eggs from all but the blue muscovy.

Very sorry for you! That happened to me last year, went to the airport to get florange and two of my puppies had escaped the pen and killed about 20 of my birds. Very disheartening when it is your own dog and infuriating when it is someone elses!
