Dog attack - lost turkeys & ducks - Update pg 8

yea - I know what you mean. I know it sounds bad but I am out for blood. The sad thing is I know it isn't the dog's fault but the irresponsible owner that has neglected to keep their roaming dog at home. I have a feeling I know whose dog it is - we had issues before with one chasing our buffalo calf.
The owner of this particular dog, doesn't even feed his dog but has put the responsibility of that onto his neighbor who is an older gentleman that just feels for the dog - so he cares for it. This guy won't return my messages and is never home.

I feel for you my goodness what a terrible thing to have to come home to.

I have been reading and reading in this part of the firum,, its getting way out of control how many dog attacks there have been lately.
every day there is one sometimes more. I went through the other day and some weeks there are as many as 7 dog attacks post weekly.
It saddens me that irrisponsable owners wont or cant keep their animals from roaming free.
I am a firm believer that something needs to be done about this problem.
Do what ever is necessary to insure your animals are safe is the best any one of us can do.

so sad.

This Sux. I am very sorry for your loss. You have every right to take action against the dog. The law says so. You may want to put up a motion activated hunting trail camera, just in case you are not home or are asleep or something. That way you can be sure of the animal in question. Plus the photos could be evidence if you needed it for any legal action. Good luck getting the sucker that did this!

One tom was a Narragansett and the other a Calico.

Yea- We have 20 acres and most of it is fenced. All of it is fenced on the front except where they came up the driveway. I just have to keep a vigil eye out for the culprit. I know he will show again, b/c he had too much fun

and no one got on to him. He didn't eat the birds just killed them.
