Dog attack - lost turkeys & ducks - Update pg 8

Is he in Arkansas too?

Cos I'm pretty sure the law is pretty clear on that kind of thing:

20-19-102.Injuries to domesticated animals by dogs.

(a)(1)“Domesticated animals” includes, but is not limited to, sheep, goats, cattle, swine, and poultry.

(2)Any person knowing that any dog has killed or is about to catch, injure, or kill any domesticated animal shall have the right to kill the dog, without in any way being liable to the owner of the dog in any courts of this state.

The law looks pretty cut and dry on the subject, but maybe the rich SOB can pull some strings.

UPDATE
Still no Gibbs or blue muscovy hen
One of the drakes that was at the pond yesterday (Josh) was at the house this morning and was limping so apparently he was involved also.
We lost Drake this morning.

I am HAPPY to report that the dog that caused this damage will no longer be a problem. Hubby took care of him this morning when he showed up. My DH is also a deputy and called it in and reported it all.

To those who know me know I am a major animal lover BUT you don't hurt my babies. I WON'T tolerate that.

I appreciate everyone's support.

The one that we got this morning was the ring leader, his side kick a cocker spaniel just tags along behind him. We will still be on the lookout, but hopefully they will stay away.
The one dog is the one that no one really wanted to claim - I wouldn't have shot someone's dear pet without consulting them about the problem, but no one wanted to lay claim to this guy and the cocker is another stray that showed up that they are feeding, their dog a shepherd was in the house and dry yesterday when I went to speak with the guy.

Your poor babies, I am so sorry. It's good you got the leader, sometimes that is all it takes. I had same situation a few months ago, took out the leader and haven't seen the others since. Please keep us updated with their progress. I hope all of the rest pull through.

It was hard to wake up this morning and not here my boys gobbling

Gracie, our 1yr old DD was even missing them b/c she was used to them strutting under her window in the mornings. She kept looking for them but they weren't there.
The two turkey hens that survived won't even let us get near them

I am used to having to push them out of the way when I am feeding and following right behind me. -- I miss them

, maybe you can get some eggs from someone that had a successful hatch from the eggs you sold...that way you can have some of their grandbabies.
