Hatched chicks supposed to be SLW, but..... ***Updated PICS in #7***

There are a few black and white ones that look like they could be SLW mixes, but it's hard to tell. I wouldn't keep them just because they're part SLW... it won't mean anything great. They might turn out to be excellent layers, and they might not. It's just a guess at this point. If you don't like their personality, don't keep them. There are a lot of great eggs available from other BYC members, and you might get exactly what you're looking for on here.

Can you send a message to the person you got the eggs from, and find out what they're mixed with?
 
Some of them look like EEs to me. Maybe you got the wrong box of eggs?

They all go through a skittish stage and will usually calm down as they get older.
 
I have sent a message and they will not answer me. I guess they think I want a refund or something. But they sell Polish, SLW, Light Brahma, Silkie, and Faverolle. I believe the Mowhawk one is part Polish and the others are SLW/Brahma crosses. I don't know how the green legs play in this, must have EE crosses with other breeds too.
 
Im sorry this happened to you-I have Bo x RIR cross eggs-I can send you 8-9 for the cost of shipping? it would be like 6$ Dont know if your interested but I feel you deserve something-and they will be guaranteed what I say thats all I have :-)

Just my humble opinion, but you have mixes of all of those breeds. The feathered white/black ones are light brahmas (or mixes), and I think you're right that the one with the "mohawk" is a polish mix. Cute chicks, though!

I kind of like hatching mutts... it's Christmas Day because you never know what you're going to get.
