Wow Laura, that is scary! I am so glad he was safe, that is most important!! I would have laid into him too though, it is like they have no brain at that age!!

My teens are now 18 & 20 and they put me through many a scary moment, but it is getting better. The scary thing now is I have TWO MORE TO GO!!

Wow, it took me an hour to catch up on the posts for the past few days. I have been sleeping a lot and been very dizzy. Today I think I might actually feel a little better. I had to call the doctor Monday to get a stronger antibiotic and some ear drops. As much as I love to read, haven't even been able to do that the past few days.
Laura, I am glad that your son is ok. That had to be scary. Hopefully he understands why you were worried.
Years ago I was shopping with a friend and her 3 year old disappeared. we were looking all over for him. Finally found him, he was running thru the store yelling "I blowed my doo doo horn". He was a real pistol!

Wylie, just a suggestion, try running the water full blast for a bit in the tubs to clean out the pipes.

Well it's bow season. I am running behind at getting my licence but that's ok. I got the huggest egg today. I was just so suprised by it. I am back to being that crazy chicken lady showing everyone the huge egg.

But anyways I know someone on here might think it's pretty cool too. So here is the picture. By the way most of the girls are laying a meduim to large size eggs now. But this one had to hurt.
This is my hand too, not the kids.

Oh my , your family must have been in an uproar. My oldest did that to us ONE time. Never happened again. I gave him the cold shoulder, didnt say a word driving home at 11pm But the next day, I didnt come home from work. Didnt pick him up at school, wasnt home when he got off the bus....wasnt there to make supper. I know that an eye for an eye isnt always the best to do. But when I walked into our home just before bed time for him...11pm, he was crying. All I said was ...SO how does it feel to worry.

Lesson learned and none of my kids ever pulled what he did. Neither did Shaun.

Kids are awesome and wonderful to be around. But sometimes you just wanna strangle'em lol

Good morning all. Really needing the coffee this morning. My youngest Brody had us up at 4am throwing up. No fever thank goodness and he made it to the bathroom each time. Poor kid is in my bed looking pasty white not wanting to drink anything cause his tummy still hurts. I sure hope he starts feeling better.

I have a stove. I sent a pm to you. There is a bakery cafe in your area that showed up in Midwest living magazine for their pies. Do you know where it is?

Good morning all. This weekend sure looks like it is going to be very damp and cold. Let's hope that next weekend will be much better. Even though it is indoors, Fowl Fest would be much more enjoyable if we don't have rain to deal with. Hopefully we will be there soon after they open the door on Saturday. While I don't intend to purchase any birds I didn't last year either and still came home with two Speckled Sussex pullets. If you think you might be interested in buying something I would advise being there early.

Good morning!

Briana, I'm so sorry about your little one.

MJ, stop that! You're making me hungry!

I got a call earlier this week about some Pekins needing a home. I couldn't say no. Went to pick them up this morning and they don't look too hot. I was fully expecting them both to be drakes and we were just going to make them dinner, but plans change. Only one is mature so it'd be mean to leave the young one alone just to butcher the big one and neither look to be in the best of health.

I made a thread about them over in Ducks if anyone has any insight... https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=251616
