Foamy bubbles in eye and clear liquid in mouth

My young silkie hen had foamy bubbles in the corner of her eye, so I bought some Tylan 200 and started putting a drop a day in her eye. I have been doing this for 4 days. So far, there is no improvement and now I have noticed something new developing. Sometimes she will open her beak and a clear liquid will drain out. Is this serious? What should I do about it?
 
You are putting Tylan directly in her eye? I am not sure that is the best thing to do. I use Injectable Tylan 50 and give about 1cc a day for 7-10 days .
 
are you sure its a cold because thats what my chickens have and id like to knoew also i thought it was coryza they do sneeze sometimes too!
 
Chickens don't get colds.

You won't really know what you're dealing with unless you ask a state vet to test your birds. It was free when I did it.

It could be:
Mycoplasma galluseptim (MG) aka Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD)
Infectious Bronchitis
Infectious Coryza (the discharge would be very smelly)
 
my chickens had the same thing and took one to the vet. was told if fluid is clear to leave it alone. only treat if yellow or green. I did have one with yellow eye drainage and a swollen lid and had to treat it .

I did take her to a vet, but not one that specializes in birds. She said that it was either a bacterial infection or a virus. She gave me Batril for if it was a bacterial infection, but said if it was a virus I would have to cull her. The Batril didn't work, but I didn't want to cull her, so that's why I bought some Tylan 200. It's been going on ever since she was about 1 month old (she's 4 months old now.) I have one other silkie with similar symptoms also.
