Maggot can??? Do you have one and can you post pics

I heard from a local about making a 'maggot can'. Sounds gross and cannot picture it. Do you/have you made one for your birds?

What did you use? How did you do it? How did you hang it? Can you post pictures?

I have one. I'm out of town, but as soon as I get back home I'll take a pic. I just have it hung on a tree branch with baling wire and it hangs over a rubber tub to catch the maggots when they fall out. I call it my chum bucket.
 
Its great, it WILL reduce flys. Instead of having them lay eggs where the maggots can develop, the chickens eat them. Win/Win

we used to do this to attract pan fish we used a can of dogfood punched several to many large nail holes in it and hung it from a tree then waited till maggots started dripping from it
 
Used to make them all the time for fishing for bluegill. Open can of whole kernel corn and leave top partly closed. Pour off liquid. Set out side, flies will find it. In about a week full of yummy maggots for chickens...
