Hi all! I too, am a Michigan "chicken" farmer. I just recently got started on the chicken trail. Have wanted to do this for a while now and am very happy to say, we have a start to out brood. We have 8 Isa browns, 2 ameracanna (not sure of the spelling) and 14 meat chickens in the mix. I am looking to get more soon, but I think this is a good start. By the way, I am from Oxford in northern Oakland County. Good luck to you all in you chicken ventures!
Hello and welcome corvettechick! Check out the link in mine or Opa's siggy for info on the upcoming Michigan Chickenstock. It is being held this Saturday and we would love to have you there. I am sure you will be able to find more chickens there too

So I've had an ad for Isa Browns for sale on craigslist for a few days. This morning a lady called asking if we wanted a leghorn for free! I'll take anything for free. I've never had a leghorn but I remember my sister had a bunch of them back in the day. Can anyone give me some info/advice?
