So My stepmom bought this microwave in 1984 and it finally died today while I am home sick makeing soup. So I actually had to do manual labor and use the stove! Im exhausted, it was such a work out. Just kidding lol but ya our 20+ year old microwave finally died.

P.S I am really home sick to XD

Unfortunately, the next one won't last that long.

My mother's first microwave lasted in the neighborhood of 20 years or so. I've been married 12 years and have gone through FIVE!

My microwave died last month! It never worked right anyhow......It would just beep four times when nobody was even near it....So I bought another one after a few days of warming things up and cooking the old fashioned way!

Thank goodness I wasn't a pilgrim.....What ever would I do!

My dad still has the Kenmore "radar range" (which is what they were originally called) that he and my mom bought when I was 16, making it ancient. The touch panel had to be replaced, but that's it. Still, one of my darling sisters decided he needed a new, much more complicated one. He tried to get used to the new one, but finally gave up, stuck it out in the shed and went back to using his radar range.

I got it in 1980. My parents got theirs in about 1975.

Mine is 5 years old which seems to be about average for me. Not even sure I'm going to replace the thing.
