I only have 16 birds...they use two of the boxes, and two tiers of the roost...(old aspen tree branches)

its not fancy, but one day maybe I can actually build a REAL coop....

Not fancy, but when the cold Colorado wind blows, they are warm....

Here are a couple photos of 1/4 of the coop. I recently recycled an old tire and some pvc pipe. I can refill the feed without having to go into the coop.

Just to give the scale of our coop. It houses 4 pullets that range in our yard for a minimum of 5 hours. usually 8-10 hours. The roost is a 4 1/2' 1x4 that they only use about 2' of

That is a great idea on the feeder. I have a PVC pipe feeder as well. It has 4 holes cut out on the top, then it has 2 long metal stakes that u put into the ground to hold the feeder up with. And it has a brace guess u can call it to support the middle. It was given to me by a friend. I just put feed in the higher end and in the cut outs so as they eat some food drops down. Ori can make it all one level and monitor how much they get. I will have to seeifi have pic and post it.

We are in the process of converting an area in my barn into a hatching room it all ready has a small coop where the room is going to be so will wrk out perfect. Iwasgiven 2 really old doors off a friends house that we are going to use to keep it closed off and the old screened to be able to let in a nice breeze till it gets to cold to leave just the screen open. I will yry and post pics tomorrow. Cannot figure out how to post them from the iPad.
