    the growing area (2weeks-5weeks) is covered with the netting designed to go over trees to keep birds out. now that they are out on the farm there i not much i can do. I haven't lost much foul to predators. knock on wood. i do have two tom turkeys that do a good job in keeping dogs away.

    favorite time of the day

    I love the mornings on my little piece of heaven. when I go out and feed my chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats. most of them come running when they see me come out to feed. watching them feed and play gives me peace.

    i started to make scrambled eggs the other day and I saw that odd looking stuff in one of the eggs. The eggs where a day or two old.I ended up throwing it out. Any idea what it is and if it is dangerous to the chickens or for the family to eat. Thanks so much

    Is it illegal to sell Cayugas?

    I ordered Cayugas from a Missouri hatchery a few weeks back. A lot of hatcheries all over the country had them availible. I don't think there are limits with selling them. Good luck
