    How tame are your californian/gambels and similar breed quail?

    That's good then, I didn't know what to expect. They were raised in the living room until they went outside so have seen a lot of people from hatch. Plus Iike to just watch them sometimes . They are quite skittish (trying to catch them isn't the easiest)

    im just trying to get an idea of how tame these quail get? mine (gambels and cali) will sit on my feet and sometimes and eat from my hand hand but wont let me catch them (easily anyway) do they get any tamer?

    I use a plastic deep containerlike you use for storage its about 1ftx2ft but iI only have about 10 chicks and they are quail. Then they go into a small animal cage once they are heat tolerant

    One baby quail has hatched out earlier than it should and is on its own, now i cant be there all the time with it (work etc) and usually they dont mind. is there anything i can do to stop it wasting energy!?

    hi now the quail run is nearly built i am looking for hutches for them to sleep in. i was thinking a guinea pig style hutch with a perch. temperatures get below freezing here in winter. what do you guys reccomend?
