whew, I think you need to talk to brother and tell him you feel, a little put out because they are always at your house and you have to watch them all.
On the other hand, it is really great that the cousins are close, they won't be young for very long, even tho you feel lke this will last...
I agree with river otter.
I have mating Budgies and I take babies away from parents at about a month old, when feathers are coming in.
For the first few days they need to be fed alot, and it has to be the right temp. and they want to be warm, next to siblings. It is really hard.

My mama hen is still with the babies in the run and she still sleeps with them at night, on a nest, they are 10 weeks old.
She doesn't want to stop being the vigilent mama. So I say let her.
Have fun with them.
I can't figure out how to tell the difference between the roos and hens.
I did post pics, when they were a few weeks younger,,,,,,,,,to no avail.'
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES?
They are now 10 weeks old. And a mixture of breeds.
I DON'T KNOW THE BREEDS EITHER.

I would use this, just make a roof. Have ventilation.
put a perch in there and some nesting boxes. Great to go.
Make sure nothing can get in, the ground is good left as dirt.
It's called deep litter method.
I would make a place where they can free range daily.

I am sorry. I will say a prayer.
I go away from this section, but seem to wander back every now and then. I am a 6 year survivor, and my chicks keep me laughing.
sierradane.................thank you for being honest. I also sometimes let my anger get ahold of me, but it's good to know that other people can get as angry as myself.
I have a broody hen that I have been putting in a dog crate for a week now, I let her out at night, cause I don't have space...
Isn't it awesome the way the chicks sound the alarm.......................They get so loud and really cackle until you show up to save them.
I just love how they do that.
I had the same situation, and I live in the city."unfortunatly" so I took the cat to the shelter.
If I lived in the...
