I think I have a black snake problem too. I had an egg forming perfectly and days away from hatching and it has completely disappeared from under my broody. no signs of an invasion. it would be fun to feed it some golf balls!!
Thanks! I have been reading the other threads on mareks and what I can find online. I was just wanting chicken people's input especially if they have seen this before or experienced something similar.
Well I am struggling with a sick bird myself. His leg seems injured and he might have cloudy eyes--not sure on the last. Those two together signal mareks disease. I hope it is not the case for both of us!!
Ok I have a sick roo. Started with one leg seeming to bother him. I checked him out and he had a bad spot on his foot ... thought bumblefoot but he was still getting around. Then his foot got better but then he was holding out his other leg. He could not get up into the coop for food and water...

This is my roo from my buff roo and white cochin/silkie mix.
This is my EE roo with a BLRW comb. Somehow all the chickens I have...
So you want my roos to eat? That is fine by me ... I just don't want to eat them! Maybe I could trade you for or pay you for your processed chickens! Lol! I just don't want to eat my own! Of course the bantams are prob not ideal for eating???
Yeah that is the trick .... having the right roos! I have hatched for fun from my own chickens. So one roo is an EE and very pretty! One roo is a Buff Orp BLRW mix and very buff looking except with the blrw comb. I have the danver bantam roo who is beautiful but hormonal! Lastly I have a...
Can I send al my roos to you then? I like your idea of separate communities!! Anyone want a Kris and Robert stock danver roo? I am told he is just going through a hormonal stage but he drew blood on my 11 yo at feeding time and tried to attack me too. I fought him off but I can't keep birds that...
