    In my case my April/Opal died two days after the eye issue. I did put the antibiotic in herwater and segregate her but lost her anyway nothing visible except for the sick eye no one else having any problem

    Actually started with 16 took the 3 away early and got 11 for 13 in the final hatch she is a great mom. They are two weeks old Saturday.

    As for the broody hen question I checked on mine twice a day and did take away 3 eggs that I think I should have left got 11 out of 13 by just letting mama know best.
