    Why is it that the males always seem to have the leakage? I got lucky, 11 chicks from Once In A Blue Moon...6 hens, 5 roos...only 2 are showing leakage. They are true beauties!!!

    When trying to sex nine week old lavender chicks, is it best to go by the comb? Or is it still too early? All their feathers look pretty much the same. Thanks

    Ok. Im the opposite, i have a flock of breeders Lavender Ameraucana, and 3 copper maran hens. Thanks for the insight...wanted to make sure my plan wasnt going to backfire.

    Is there a reason everyone uses Maran roo with ameraucana hens? I was gonna use Ameraucana roo with maran hens? Is there an advantage of the maran roo?

    Question, i have 18 6 wk old Lav Am that i bought from a reputable breeder. None of my 18 seem to have good beard and muffs. Does this grow in later or get fuller..or what they have they have. Thank you

    He was unable to hang with the rest if the group. So i went a head and butchered him. He had an achilles tendon dislocation, which makes sense on why he was unable to put weight on the leg. Wanted to let you all know what i found.

    Anybody have any ideas what could be wrong with my roo. No sores or cuts on his foot. Nothing feels broken or out of place. Open to any suggestions.
