7 yr old SS hen has 3 large punctures with skin ripped away.

Stray beagle got her during his killing spree sunday and its hard putting my grown up pants on. She is THE pet out of what was 45 chickens and although I dont want to give up (didnt clean wounds but filled holes with sugar which has proven to be miraculous in past). I was camping when this...

Various of my chic flock killed/wounded by 2 unknown beagles and would like to find "owners" of thes

Not giving details and i want to figure way to find if these 2 have owner or possibly were dumps. I have a very very bad impression of people that hunt w/dogs and I am praying this can maybe prove me wrong once. May try asking various houses if they're missing 2 beagles or know of anyone having...

    Have a crowing pullet

If its a boy its also a girl. The last potential boy laid an egg on the morning I heard the other crowing sound. ALL of the other chickens (except 3 yo old roo) are female and lay.

    Have a crowing pullet

Haven't checked back here in a while....Thanks for info guys!! Whichever pullet/hen was doing it is still doing it (in the morning/dark) but don't know which bird yet. Hopefully this weekend I can get out very early and sit in shed with them and figure it out.

    Have a crowing pullet

3rd pullet confirmed! Just went out to turn all chx loose and the above pullet, Buttercup (because of her comb-I've given up on being creative with names) was the first to jump in the outside nest box and she laid what was probably her first egg. It was bloody and I don't know if she was the one...

    Have a crowing pullet

I have three 7 mo pullets (fairly sure and will try to get pics on here but my computer deleted my only attempt at downloading vids from card reader so terrified to try more) and they're all mutts (different mamas too) and when I got up this morning I heard the only roo I have (3 years old) then...

    Barn Cats

Sounds harsh but I am an extreme animal lover and people that claim to love cats (ME) and feed but won't s/n are causing sooo much pain/heartache for felines. Wish you were my neighbor so I could buy YOUR beef. I buy meat from a farm appx 70 miles from my home BECAUSE they support correct animal...

    Barn Cats

There are some that have helped do that Nickles but most rescues/shelters are financially strapped as it is and need more help from the public/landowners if possible. I personally have had to opt for euthanizing the intact cats that were dumped/strayed to my property because all that was...

6 1/2 yo BR hen w/ raw / red stomach

I will have to assume its a pest but I can't SEE anything on her so far. I have seen live/mites before and thats not being noticed on any of the hens/roo. She roosts normal (at night) but could be lying someplace wet during day so....I will epsom bathe/rinse then give them all a dusting asap. I...

6 1/2 yo BR hen w/ raw / red stomach

No visual pests and am going to give Ivomec inj to the flock soon but in the meantime this looks ouchy. Have another hen with raw spots on her back and assumed it was the disable Roo (with trimmed nails/spurs) managing to scrape her. This bird acts/eats normal but she has always been overweight...
