This is not the first egg. She has been laying for about 6 months, although she just finished molting. She layed normal ones yesterday and the day before.
No, they only have 4 toes. At the feed store some of them had curly feathers, so I figured they were all that way and picked those two. I didn't realise these ones didn't.
If they are free ranged, can they forage on their own and survive without feed?

Beside the obvious reason to not let a goat free range(that being that it will eat your garden) is it okay? Mainly I want to know if it will get lost or follow the chickens to the goat house. The goat house is not the chicken coop but is close.
If your hen hatches chicks, how do you feed them? Chicks are suppost to have chick feed, so if the mom hen eats regular, is it okay for the chicks to eat regular feed? Or do they get fed regurgitated food like birds or something?
