Has anybody heard of breeding to disease resistance as I have done some reading on this regarding livestock.
Does anybody know if this would work with poultry?
It said to breed the infected animal with the one that shows the least sighs and then do that with theoffspring untill there are know...
I have noticed that when I was holding my pet duck I could hear her breathing and that she also had water coming out of her noise she will sneeze sometimes. And I see her feather fluff up her noise alot Is all this from her fluff . Thank you
Hi I live in Canada and would like to keep ducks in winter ? I cant afford to use a heat lamp for a whole winter and the breed im planning on getting is pekins.
So I havent gotten any new birds at all except for eggs that havent hatched yet. So I went to the basement yesterday to feed the chickens and my Rooster had dust all around and in his nostrills so I cleaned up his noise . And then I went today to feed them again and he had a light runny...
