Muscovy hen not walking. **UPDATE**

I just got home from work and she is still alive. She doesn't look very good but it is dark out. She has eaten a tiny bit of food. I'm still giving her vitamins and but some antibiotics in her water. I think only time will tell.

I was thinking you had put her down since i hadn't heard, I hope she pulls through this, Your doing all you can.. How long has she been taking the antibiotic?

Well I'm not sure what happened but after 6 1/2 days of touch and go my hen is up and walking. I had seperated her and as previously stated, she was not looking good at all. I really considered culling her because she looked horrible. Yesterday morning, she was moving around a bit but still using her wings more than her legs. This morning I went out and she was just laying there turned around to get her water and when I looked she was standing. I filled up the kiddie pool and opened the door to the crate she was in and she slowly made her way out. She did avoid the pool and went to see her babies ( some are bigger then her now ) I had to seperate them because dad figured that since mom was unavailable, the kids were good targets for his attentions.
She is now in the pool taking a bath. I am so relieved.

On another note with my upcoming move, I did find someone that will take my remaining ducks. A man bought my chickens and was intereseted in the ducks but couldn't afford them at that time. I contacted him to see if he would like them for free. I am very relieved to have found good homes for all of my birds. I hope to be back on BYC soon.
