    My PVC run/trailer/playpen

I wanted to share the PVC playpen design I just built. Hubby is about to help me put the chicken wire on it. Please read more about it and see more pictures here https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=384374

    My PVC PLAYPEN aka trailer/run

I was going to make this http://www.pvcplans.com/pvc-pastured-poultry-pen.htm But Lowes did not carry some of the connectors like the 3-way, 4-way, and 5-way. I designed my own chicken playpen based on what Lowes does carry. Here are pictures of what I just made. Hubby is supposed to help me...

    CHEAPEST brooder ever!

This 4' X 4' X 4'5" box held rolls of carpet at lowes. They gave it to me for FREE. It had this awesome heavy duty wire frame on it to keep the rolls of carpet up. I use flannel-backed tablecloths as washable/reuseable liners (fuzzy side upwards for traction and absorption) so it stays...

    No bedding at all question

I actually put the flannel-backed side upwards because I thought the pretty side would be too slippery. The plastic side keeps the cardboard dry and the flannel-backed side gives them fuzzy texture. I take them out on my deck everyday in the baby pool but I am going to Lowes to get pvc today...

Is it ok to use NO bedding at all? I have 1 week old meat chicks in a HUGE cardboard box. I have four thick flannel-backed plastic tablecloths that I want to use as liners in the box. I want to change them every morning and night. I want to take the dirty one outside and spray it and...
