First I don’t want to upset anyone but other than my light Brahma I really just don’t like white chickens. With that being said we went to TSC to get some new Cochins and a couple new Rouens and the only thing they had were yellow/white Cochin chicks. I picked out four with grey backs hoping by...
Will you be getting any LF Cochins that may possibly be frizzled? Our bantam was attacked by another beard several years ago and she became a house pet until she died. The wife babied her and took care of her wounds and now she is kind of partial to the breed.
Missing the Cayuga eggs in this picture but I'm glad we ended up with some good variety this round. Kinda wish I had a Marans though. Really missing a chocolate egg.
Oh no we live in Stockbridge/McDonough, we tried to move to Dahlonega/Dawsonville but it's just growing too fast. Forsyth County knocked Henry County out of the running as the fastest growing county in Georgia for 2019-2020.
Clayton is a fantastic place to live if you like the middle of the road living. It's a sleepy quiet little town for the most part but with 441 going through there's plenty of traffic and food.
Nope, the entire rest of the state did though. It got to the point where it wasn't even enjoyable shopping up there because of the mass influx of people moving into the area. Houses were selling the same day they were listed for over asking price.
Afternoon everyone, we want to pick up two Royal Palm poults and two Rouen ducklings this spring. Will anyone here be hatching these two breeds before I buy from a hatchery?
Yeap from TSC. We will be neighbors possibly. It's a new development off of 52 about 5 or 6 miles from Amicalola. We found out the wording is "No commercial poultry." Apparently when the land was first cleared they kept having poultry farmers wanting to buy several lots to put a commercial...
Evening everyone, so I went property shopping in Dawson and Lumpkin today. I am noticing an overwhelming number of neighborhoods that do not allow chickens/poultry to be kept. Our favorite property of the day has absolutely no rules, no HOA and no standards for building EXCEPT no trailers and no...
Hey guys. We overbought and have 7 soon to be laying chickens, 4 soon to be laying ducks and 2 laying ducks. My wife wants to sell the excess eggs to friends family and neighbors. Does she need the candling license to sell from our house or is it only required if she sells from a farmers market...
Before I toss them out I've gotta ask. I picked out two blue Andalusian pullets this week based off the color and pattern without reading far enough down the breed info page. We've got a neighbor my wife is having a passive aggressive war with so odds are our birds will stay confined to a 4x8...
