YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hi, everyone. We are building in Metter, Georgia, moving from a couple hours away in the lowcountry of South Carolina (Varnville). I currently have six beautiful laying hens, under two years old, they give me 3 - 5 big beautiful eggs every day, and I need to find a new place for them to be safe and sound. Would anyone like to adopt my six laying hens?

Hey guys. We overbought and have 7 soon to be laying chickens, 4 soon to be laying ducks and 2 laying ducks. My wife wants to sell the excess eggs to friends family and neighbors. Does she need the candling license to sell from our house or is it only required if she sells from a farmers market environment? I thought you had to have one to sell eggs period but what I just read says it's not required as long as you're selling from your own personal "farm."

I'll have araucana eggs as soon as they start laying.. I just got these babies yesterday in around Savanna,Georgia..aren't they precious! I'm in Comer,Georgia. Outside Athens

You need one if you sell away from your home. I also think, however, that you need one if you sell over a certain amount of eggs from home. No reason not to get one....the class if free.

I may be interested in some eggs. I know they are hard to hatch because the 'tuff' gene is usually deadly to hatching and just born chicks. But, they are so neat. My friend in FL just lost all hers due to a door that closed by the wind and her chickens all died from the heat. She was devastated! I will keep in touch with you about the eggs.

I have several folks looking for laying hens. I am in Dawsonville. If you are close, PM me your contact info and I will send some folks your way.

I got in contact with another breeder for a smaller batch of babies. They don't sell eggs ,I just have to buy a heat pack. Not bad heat packs 4 dollars and I only have one bloodline..Certainly don't want to inbred that's not good is it? I've read they breed babies back to parents. Is that true?
