What I'm hoping for is something with an internal battery that will keep running, sort of the way a laptop keeps running off the battery when it's unplugged. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try rigging up something like that.

Well, the crazy broody hen has changed her mind. She is not sitting on the eggs any more and had one for breakfast. Any eggs that showed any signs of life are now in the incubator. :rolleyes:

They're barred Leghorns that I got from Sand Hill. By nicest I mean the closest to the SOP out of the birds that I got in that batch. They are not show quality by any means, but I have been comparing them to the SOP to try to get as close as possible. All I can do is my best with what I have...
