    What I'm hoping for is something with an internal battery that will keep running, sort of the way a laptop keeps running off the battery when it's unplugged. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try rigging up something like that.

    I used to have a Nanday conure who loved moon pies. He liked Cheerios cereal, too. He would put a toe through the hole in the center then bring his foot up and eat it off his toe.

    Well, the crazy broody hen has changed her mind. She is not sitting on the eggs any more and had one for breakfast. Any eggs that showed any signs of life are now in the incubator. :rolleyes:

    Nice! He looks just like one of mine--the father of the 5 chicks and fertilizer of all those eggs the broody is hoarding. They could be twins, except mine does not have any brown.
