Actually, the eggs are from my flock. She now has 10 eggs. She can't keep any more than 10 warm enough since she's a bantam. Hmm, 10 eggs, let me remember what breeds they are: 1 silkie egg, 2 easter eggers, probably at least one Light brahma, barred rock, rhode island red, and a black sex link. I can't really tell their eggs apart. And if any eggs hatch their gonna be part Old English game bantam since thats what my only rooster is.
I marked the 10 eggs with a pencil so if any other hen lays an egg in the nest I can easily tell it apart from the other eggs and remove it. I'm going to have to get a rabbit cage to keep her and her babies (if they hatch) in the coop away separated from the rest of the other flock by some wire. I have it all worked out I just don't have the stuff I need to work it all out!
And no, I'm not gonna break her.
