    he's legs looked stiff and curled when he tried to walk but they weren't it just looked like it at the time. But i am still very impressed that he wasn't weak at all

    oh i wouldn't have left him there...but when i helped him i had to move quick before my next period so i saw him for a split second so that's why it looked like he had funky legs but nope he is a healthy baby, he was very lively when he hatched and still is lol. I'm just surprised he wasn't week...

    I helped the chick which looks to have some stiff legs :/ i kinda figured it would....I'm going to bring it home today and will probably have to cull the chick :( ...at least i got 5 other chicks :)

    Hatching ducks winter cold house

    Is it a still air or forced air incubator? And what day are they on? They should be fine if they’re fluctuating between 98-100...they may hatch a bit late from cooler temps but probably nothing major..I’d put a towel over your incubator( I do this at lock down to keep my humidity steady)

    our neighbors found this duck at work and brought it to there house and asked if we wanted it because we have ducks (domestic) and I wasn’t sure because I didn’t want to bring any diseases to our flock...but If is domestic would I be able to add it to my flock?

    I think they’re both boys but I’m not for sure, duke is the more aggressive one so I think it’s a male. And daisy is a bit more shy, but they both have about the same size nob. We got them in April

    Egg production is down.

    it may very well be the heat, i have 25 hens (4 of which that are broody and need to stop) and i have only been getting 15 eggs per day.
