What breed is this duck?

our neighbors found this duck at work and brought it to there house and asked if we wanted it because we have ducks (domestic) and I wasn’t sure because I didn’t want to bring any diseases to our flock...but If is domestic would I be able to add it to my flock?

It does not look domestic. And I don't think it is a good idea to add a wild duck to a domestic duck flock.

It is certainly not domestic. Is it friendly?? Injured?? Why are you considering taking it in? Is something wrong with its legs? It kind of looks like there might be in the picture. You should probably look for a wildlife sanctuary that will take him.

I agree! I was about to write the same thing. It looks a lot like a ruddy duck.

our neighbor still has it...I don’t know what he’s gonna do with it and I don’t know if it’s injured because I have not seen it myself...and thank y’all for all the replies
