She bred them herself, I asked her what it was and she said it could be a mix or a pure of royal palm, sweetgrass, and bronze. She also has a few mixes that are breeding. Is there any kind of combo gene of those that would make a blue? Give me a second and I'll take a better picture.
I have a pair of pigeons living indoors right now as their loft is being built. I have pigeon feed and I was warned that they do this, but my homer does it the worst. They throw their food. Everywhere. I wont mind this when they are outside obviously, but it seems like a giant waste to have them...
They all died. It's a horse stall lined with chicken wire. They can fly all over it if they want to. They were in there with a group of the younger chicks, some older some younger. They seemed a little sleepy and lethargic yesterday but I just took it as the dramatic temperature changes here...

From my last thread, the turkeys are doing extremely well. I had gone on a small trip and when I came back I hardly recognized them. I was hoping that since she has grown more I would get an idea on what she is. However, I still can't. She's like a blue, but the woman said she doesn't have any...
Picked up a beautiful Birmingham Roller hen today. Is it normal for my male to hover over the nest like this? I know she isn't quite ready because she's still adapting, but.. Is this normal?
They are doing fine for now. I'm not seeing anymore of the bright red poops. Still not sure if they are drinking though. How long can they go without water just in case?
Note: To quiet poults or to help them eat food, I've sprinkled some chopped grass in their food and water, with some spots around the brooder to keep them busy. Works like magic.
