    UPDATE___went out to the coop(4th day) and there lay a big tinted egg!!!!HOORAY!!!My kids are gonna be so excited when they come home..She laid it on the ground not in the nesting box..Now I gotta fiqure out how to get her to lay there!

    okay...we adopted this hen Saturday and they said she was molting? does this look to be the beginning or end .most of the others were bare backed.We are wondering if she is going in or out of Molting. /

    Hi....I adopted 2 new hens yesterday..One is a barred rock one is a columbian wyandotte .They are both suppose to be 1 yr 6 months old..The wyandotte looks to me molting .When can we exspect eggs?We are new to this.Thanks

    I just came back from the coop and i think they are both roos.The both have redder combs now and the RIR has bright re waddles coming in the BO has red ones coming in too..Actually the BO is showing signs of meaness already maybe its just me but they are both acting like roos!!
