    Broody silkie?

I think Batman's broody. I collected 2 eggs that day, and today she's doing it again! I took the eggs away, and she complains when I take her out of the nest, then goes right back inside!

    Broody silkie?

Ok, I have a little silkie hen named Batman(we thought she was a boy when she was a chick). Earlier today, Misty, our EE, came into the nest box and sat in it. I decided to let my chickens alone. How early can you tell if you have a rooster?

I heard that once the feathers grow in, you can check to see if the feathers are really shiny. if it is, it's usually a male. But it doesn't work for silkies.

    hen or roo

Well, it stands with a straight and tall posture, so I think it's a roo. The feathers are also pointyish.

    Splash silkie hen or roo?

The silkie looks like a hen. It has the same stance as my 5 month old pullet, and a round tail.

Ideal Hatchery Surprise Arrived - Want to Play?

I think the brown ones are rhode island reds, and I'm pretty sure the one with "eyeshadow" and has dark stripes is an easter egger

    Fighting?

Ok, since the big blizzard 2 days ago, my mom, sister and me took 3 of our favorite pullets from their cage to make diapers for them. We were planning to keep them as housepets, but can't have roos, so we left Audrey, our rooster, alone in the cage, since we didn't need to make diapers for him...
