Of course this is the first time they have gone in the coop by themselves at night, and I had to get them out. I did hear one of them sneezing when I went to them. The past couple of days she was making noises that sounded kinda duck-ish, so I thought she was finding her cluck, but I guess not...

A few of might girls seem to be missing feathers and have bumps around one of their eyes. Besides that, they seem to be acting normal. Thoughts? The last seems to have a bunch of little bubbles in the corner of her eye.

I'm just about finished building my coop, and am trying to decide what to use for the floor of my rollaway nest box. I was going to use that green outdoor carpet, but am thinking it might not have enough pitch to roll away. The floor has an 11° drop. I was thinking of using foam play squares...

So, I'm getting close to finishing my cucurrent coop. Today I had 4 pine trees cut down and the stumps ground. Would the chips be suitable for using in my coop? I was thinking of bagging a bunch up. Thoughts? I imagine it might need to be dried to prevent mildew?

Thanks for the notes. As it is, it is 3' off the ground. I plan on having internal nesting boxes at floor level (may change to external at a later date, or may change it up before I finish). That side of the coop has 3' of head room. The roosting bars will go on the other side, which has 4'...

Thanks for the replies. I updated my location as well (lower AL). The coop will be something like a lean-to, 7 feet at highest, and 6 at the lowest. The roosting bars will be in the taller area, which is 4 feet high inside (as it is now) and the coop is 6'x6', with the run being 12'x6...
