the bigger one on the right is a drake or a male the smaller one is a hen or a female. congratulations when you think the hen has dissapeared she is sitting on eggs and will hatch in 5 weeks.
i use DE ( diatomaceous earth ) i mix it in with my shavings. i also am now mixing it in with my feed. we have alot less flies the ducklings love to eat the flies. that also helps out.. the are not in a coop all day as mine free range with their mothers.
I have a friend that only feeds wheat grains.. check your craigslist for farmers selling whole grains or cracked grains for sale you will find it much cheaper.
this is a six to eight week old baby scovy as its feathering and size says its a hen. i would stick with scovys if bread with anything else the babies will be mules and not fertile..
