I've never seen the Blue Quail. Aren't they beautiful!

We let our flock out as much as we can (but never unsupervised). They love it, munching up clover and bugs. They always have feed in the coop, though, and kitchen scraps everyday.

Hi, I am in Yreka, at the top of the state. I drive to Redding fairly often. I would meet in you in Redding to adopt your roo if you are ever up that way. I have a flock of bantam hens just over a year old.

Your chickens are beautiful. I was thinking that the breed was bantam-sized, but I guess not. My girls are all bantams. Those boys would be too big I'm afraid.

Where in northern California are you? Close to Oregon?
