Thanks will do. Do you know anything about the hard, nail like growth on the bottom of her nail (on the foot with bumblefoot). Someone told me it might be a fungal infection but I cant find much information on that in feet, or pictures that match what I saw.

Okay Thanks ill just keep it clean and hopefully comfortable for her during the process and fingers crossed her other foot heals up, still trying to figure out that issue or possible fungal infection.

Thats what I was thinking when I saw the bleeding, when I found her she was in teh dirt dusting. I the only wire that I that I can think of is standing fences, no ladders, unless there is something she got into somewhere but i dont know yet. Let me know if you have any advice what is going on...

I am in Western New York and we have pretty cold winters so its possible. I do think one of my hens had some frostbite on her comb a couple winters back. However theses toes and the nail that fell off was not black at all, it was a healthy color. the toe that look black were on a different foot...

I think the bumblefoot is healing well so far. here is a picture from the check up today (2 days later). there is no pus or dirt and only a tad bit of bleeding at first but its still all raw. How will I know if its coming back vs a healing scab?
