Someone just told me that the Ranch 99 Asian market sells quail eggs. They are not marked as fertile but people have hatched them. Has anyone ever tried to incubate store bought eggs?

99 is to hot....oh my. He seems to stay right under the heat lamp. That is the temp right under the light. The far end of the space is 88-90

Just checked on him. He walking fine and is eating. Scratching around doing the little chicken dance. Maybe he his his head but definitely not stumbling like he was. This is worse than having a kids. LOL

He is walking ok now. Maybe he got stunned. They are trying to fly, so maybe he hit his head. I am feeding them Game Bird starter and the temp is 99`

Thanks! Everything is exactly the same as it's been since they went into the brooder. Temp is the same, same feed, etc. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Nothing to indicate there was something wrong with him. I know what you mean about being terrified about loosing another one. I keep checking...

Now this is funny!!! This little guy was just to tired. Flopped down, stretched out his legs and went to sleep. Scared me at first cause OMG he looks dead.

I have three little ones. So cute. And this is what they do if you pick them up and rub their belly. LOL

They are doing wonderful. Amazing how fast they grow. Their wing feathers are coming in. I swear they have doubled in size. Yuki and Cosmo will be a week old tomorrow and Kiwi will be on Wednesday.

Gizmo was a California Valley quail. We sure do get attached to these little guys don't we. I would love to see Cricket. You are wonderful and caring for taking such good care of him!
