    I wish my feed was this cheap!!! I am currently paying $26/50 lb bag of both chick starter and broiler grower. With my 35 hens and 11 CX, I go through a bag of each roughly every 10 days.

    wow!!!! i am just starting out, but at the feed stores here in Fairbanks I'm paying $25.99 for feed. I have seen layer for around $16, but i wont be feeding that for another several months since my girls are just now a week old.

    Yeah, my girls arrived. I even got a few extra. unfortunatly i have lost 9. 5 on arrival, 2 the next day. 1 each the next 2 days. hopefully I'm good now. the worst part is out of 7 red leghorns i ordered 5 have died.

    Hi all. I have an opportunity to get a small garden shed that is being built by my local high school construction class. I am planning on using this for my meat bird coop. The only concern i have is that it has cedar siding on it. I know it has been discussed ad nauseum here about cedar shavings...
