i have a question about layer pellets, i hope i don't sound dumb, but i just found a bunch of moths in the bag of pellets, what is that all about? is the food old? should i throw it out??

my 24 week old EE just layed her first egg on sunday! problem is she laid it in the garden, then today in the compost pile! when she was getting ready in the compost pile today i picked her up and put her in her nest box, but she refused to stay there. any suggestions?

Thanks for all the info, i think that sounds like whats happening, he is a teenager, so i'll give him some time to figure it out. they are both the same age, although she is a bit smaller than he is, in the meantime i'm working on getting more hens for him. not having much luck. most places...

she is about 18 weeks old, I just went out to check on her and she seems to be fine , she did get up to say "Hi" to me, and there was no egg there, i guess she's just hanging out in that spot today thank you !
