hey! so my memaw has 4 chickens (3 hens and 1 roo). she called me this morning to ask why one of the hens continues to lay her egg up on the waterer. I have no idea how to answer that haha so if any of yall have any suggestions or info on this I would really appreciate it :) thanks <3 kelsey

Hey yall! My 1 yr old hen Sunny has had an issue for a few months. Her butt is red until she dusts then it goes back to normal color. I thought it was mites so dusted her in DE and put a box of DE mixed with dirt. Seemed to help with the reddness. Only now Im more concerned because her feathers...

Neosporin and a bandaid or rap would help with bleeding and infection. I've had similar issues and this stops bleeding and pecking :) <3 kelsey

Mine are pets too so I understand how you feel and want to help her. I've taken my babies to the vet and it is so worth it. Hi and welcome! First, you are right about other chickens with blood. So if the bleeding doesnt stop you may want to separate her from the flock until it stops. Also can you upload a pic of her beak? It would really help to see it.
