    Thanks! I am happy that five hatched. At least three of the five that didn't (haven't) hatch(ed) are eggs that I wasn't too sure about. I am happy that two of the three eggs from my flock that made it into lockdown hatched (started with four, but, one wasn't fertile). I'm a little bummed...

    The chick from Leghorn egg #9 is here! Leghorn egg #8 is working hard. LB2 is still resting. The chick from #9 kicked the first chick off its perch (on top of the eggs that are due next week) and is sleeping on top of its future playmates.

    Another quick update: Leghorn egg #8 is pipped and so is LB2 (little brown egg #2)! Leghorn egg #9 is making some progress. The chick from #6 is doing great! I've decided that I love hatching in the egg carton pieces. So far, no mess at all and it is easier to tell when a chick has pipped...
