We have 1 little chick who runs up to the others and pulls out their feathers randomly and is really rough. We thought it was because they are forming a pecking order but we don't know because we are beginners. Did yours ever do this as chicks? What should we do? Why are they doing it?
I have heard of their feet being pointed outwards but I have never seen them crossed. I will do some research and let you know what I find out. I am curious to know why this happened!
They will be 2 weeks old on Monday. Directly under the heat lamp is 90 degrees but around the entire container IDK. We have a few cold spells every once in a while and it gets as low as 40 degrees sometimes.

Okay Thank you! So we actually built a chicken tractor for them so that is what we are going to put them in once they grow up. I have heard a lot about the pasty butt so what are good ways to clean it because I know not to try to pull it off. Thanks for all the tips!
They must be famous for their feathers on their legs because I always thought there was something wrong with them until someone told me that's how all of them are.
