A friend of mine had a similar problem. He built his run up with sand. When you put the concrete up I would fill the run up to it with sand. Sand will drain fast when it gets wet. And it may avert the water away from the run too! JMHO

Well I was using netting a two dogs went thru it and wiped out my whole flock Friday. I will never use this again. It might keep the hawks out but not a big dog. They WILL climb a fence!

IMO you can give them anything you want to. If they were raised by their mothers, they would scavenge around and eat all kinds of things.
