Just a note to remind everyone of a commitment, to Living History Farms in Des Moines. I volunteered a flock of Iowa Blues to them. They will take them as chicks, it will be a great promotion for the breed. Not sure when they will want the chicks but I would like to now how many of you are...

Glad you are enjoying the birds, they seem very happy! I just set a couple more Buff eggs for the folks I emailed you about. I also set 2 duck eggs. It will be fun having baby ducks.

Received my premium check today from the State Fair and to my surprise, I did have the Champion and Reserve in the light duck category!
It just is not a class they give an award for or someone made a mistake? Happy anyway!
So Kari, you and I should hold our heads high this year! Woo Hoo!!!!
Very happy to have found them such a good home. I know you will fall in love with those Buff Brahma pullets. They are little sweethearts even though a bit tough to rodeo in a long pen!
And if you ever want to have some of your own chicks, I can rent you a roo for a weekend!
If you are able to attend the Iowa City show, if your Silver pullet stays small. I would love to have her, or trade her. I am looking for a Silver runt for demos, and one that will fit in with my bantam single girls club!
